ACC Appoints Six 1995-Batch IPS Officers as Special DGs in CRPF, BSF & IB

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the high-level appointment and promotion of six senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 1995 batch to the rank of Special Director General (Special DG) across various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

According to the official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the newly appointed officers and their respective postings include:

Key Appointments & Postings

• Sandeep Khirwar, IPS (HY:1995): Currently serving as ADG, CRPF; appointed as Special Director General, CRPF (Level-16 in the pay matrix) from the date of assumption of charge until his superannuation on May 31, 2033, or until further orders.
• Puneet Rastogi, IPS (TR:1995): Currently serving as ADG, BSF; appointed as Special Director General, BSF (Level-16) from the date of assumption of charge until his superannuation on June 30, 2030, or until further orders.
• Satish Shriramaji Khandare, IPS (AGMUT:1995): Currently serving as ADG, BSF; appointed as Special Director General, BSF (Level-16) by temporarily upgrading the downgraded post, running from the date of assumption of charge until his superannuation on June 30, 2031, or until further orders.
• Padmakar S. Ranipse, IPS (OD:1995): Currently serving as ADG, CISF; appointed as Special Director General (Level-16) in the CISF on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading his held post, effective from the date of assumption of charge up to his superannuation on May 31, 2028, or until further orders.
• Rajesh Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:1995): Currently serving as ADG, CRPF; appointed as Special Director General (Level-16) in the CRPF on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading his held post for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders.
• Jag Mohan, IPS (BH:1995): Currently serving as Additional Director, IB; appointed as Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB) (Level-16) from the date of assumption of charge until his superannuation on June 30, 2031, or until further orders.
