Government Polytechnic Poonch Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026: Apply for 7 Posts
POONCH: Government Polytechnic Poonch (Sathra) has invited applications from eligible candidates who are domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for engagement as Guest Faculty for the Academic Session November-December 2026.
According to Notification No. 3 of 2026, dated September 3, 2026, the engagement will be made on a need basis for various engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
Government Polytechnic Poonch Guest Faculty Vacancy 2026
A total of 7 Guest Faculty positions are available in the following disciplines:

Eligibility
Applicants must be domiciles of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and should possess the prescribed educational qualification for the respective discipline.
Candidates are required to submit their applications along with self-attested copies of relevant documents using the prescribed application format attached as Annexure-A.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit the duly filled application form along with self-attested documents to the office of the Principal, Government Polytechnic Poonch (Sathra).

The application must reach the concerned office/email by or before September 15, 2026, up to 4:00 PM.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be made according to the criteria prescribed under Directorate Order No. 37 of 2023 dated January 24, 2023.
The selection criteria include:
- 80 points for basic qualification on a pro-rata basis
- 5 points for higher qualification
- 5 points for GATE/NET/SET
- 5 points for relevant teaching experience at Polytechnic Diploma level or higher, on a pro-rata basis, with 1 point for each academic year
- 5 points for interaction with concerned candidates
Important Terms and Conditions
The engagement will be governed by the applicable government rules and conditions prescribed by the Directorate.
The remuneration for the Guest Faculty will be paid according to Government Order No. 89-JK(DSD) of 2021 dated November 18, 2021.
The engagement will be purely on a guest faculty basis and will be limited to one academic session. It will also be made only against a clear vacancy.
Selected candidates will have to submit an undertaking/affidavit duly authenticated by a First Class Magistrate before joining, stating that they will not claim continuation of their services and that the engagement can be terminated at any time without notice.
