SRINAGAR, Sep 24: The Meteorological Department has forecast generally dry weather across Kashmir for September 25 and 26, with a brief spell of rain, thunder and gusty winds likely in some areas from September 27.
According to the MeT forecast, September 25-26 will remain generally dry across the region, providing favourable conditions for outdoor and agricultural activities.
On September 27-28, Kashmir is likely to experience generally cloudy weather, with brief spells of light rain, thunder and gusty winds at a few places. Light snowfall is also possible over the higher reaches.
The weather may see another brief spell of rain at a few places on September 29-30. However, October 1-2 are expected to remain generally dry.
From October 3 to 5, generally cloudy weather is forecast, with light rain, thunder and gusty winds possible at a few places. Higher reaches may receive light snowfall during this period.
Advisory for Kashmir Farmers
The MeT Department said the upcoming dry days are suitable for apple and paddy harvesting as well as other agricultural operations across Kashmir.
Farmers have been advised to plan harvesting and spraying activities during the dry-weather period. They have also been urged to remain cautious during episodes of gusty winds and thunderstorm activity.
