J&K Govt Orders Posting of 16 In-Charge Accounts Officers Across Departments
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the posting of 16 In-Charge Accounts Officers to various departments, treasuries and institutions across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
The Finance Department issued the order on October 18, 2026, under the signature of Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar. The postings follow the placement of the officers as In-Charge Accounts Officers through government orders issued on June 24 and September 25, 2026.
As per the order, Ab. Rehman War has been posted as Pay and Accounts Officer (PAO) in Municipal Council Budgam, while Madan Lal has been assigned as Treasury Officer, Ramnagar. Monika Sharma has been posted as PAO, DUDA Udhampur, against an available vacancy.
Meena Gupta has been appointed as Accounts Officer (AO) at Mubarak Mandi Heritage, Jammu, replacing Mahesh Kumar Dubey. She will assume charge after the retirement of the incumbent officer on October 31, 2026.
Ved Parkash has been posted as Accounts Officer in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, while Sushma Kumari has been assigned as Assistant Treasury Officer (ATO), Samba. Bhagwati Parsad will serve as Accounts Officer at the District Fund Office, Kathua, and Asha Rani has been posted as Accounts Officer at the Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), Jammu.
Nisar Ahmad Parrey has been appointed as Treasury Officer, Pahalgam, while Vikas Gupta has been posted as Accounts Officer in the Finance Department. Anil Kumar has been assigned as Accounts Officer at the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, Jammu and Kashmir.

Meenakshi Sharma has been posted as Accounts Officer at the Jammu Development Authority, replacing Monika Parihar, who has been promoted as In-Charge Chief Accounts Officer (CAO). Ram Dass Sharma has been assigned as Accounts Officer at the State Election Commission, Jammu and Kashmir.
Vandana Mangotra has been posted as an instructor at the Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute, Jammu, replacing Aditi Sharma, who has also been promoted as In-Charge Chief Accounts Officer.
Gopal Krishan has been posted as Accounts Officer at the Directorate of Rural Development Department, Jammu, in place of Mukesh Kumar. Javid Usman Naqashbandhi has been assigned as Accounts Officer at the Directorate of Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir, replacing Showkat Ali.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar, Aditi Sharma, Monika Parihar and Showkat Ali will await further posting orders in the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries (DGAT) following their promotion as In-Charge Chief Accounts Officers.
The order states that the postings have been made in the interest of administration. Officers assigned against existing vacancies will assume charge of their respective posts, while those replacing officers holding additional charge will relieve them accordingly.
The reshuffle is aimed at facilitating administrative arrangements and ensuring the smooth functioning of accounts-related offices and institutions across Jammu and Kashmir.
