JK Police Promotes 54 Head Constables to Assistant Sub Inspector in Telecom Cadre
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued a major promotion order elevating 54 Head Constables of the Telecom Cadre to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI). The promotions have been granted with immediate effect against available vacancies.
According to the official order issued by Police Headquarters (PHQ), Jammu, the promotions have been approved vide Order No. 4792 of 2025 dated December 29, 2025. The promoted officials will be placed in Pay Level-6 with a pay scale of ₹35,400–1,12,400.
the promotions were made following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and are subject to the final outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts of law.
Details of JK Police ASI Promotion Order
The order states that Head Constables of the Telecom Cadre whose names figure in the promotion list have been elevated to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector against available vacancies. The promotions are effective immediately, and the promoted officers will assume charge as per departmental norms.
The order further clarifies that these promotions are issued without prejudice to the outcome of any pending legal proceedings, if any, before a competent court.

Service Benefits and Pay Scale
