J&K Junior Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 at GMC Handwara
Government Medical College Handwara has issued a fresh recruitment notification for the post of Junior Staff Nurse under Non-Gazetted (Technical) category on Academic Arrangement Basis. The engagement will be made strictly as per S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020 and Government Order No. 307-JK(HME) of 2022 dated 18-05-2022 regarding the establishment of GMC Handwara.
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement against Non-Gazetted (Technical) posts of Junior Staff Nurse. The initial engagement shall be for a period of one year, which may be extended up to a maximum of six years subject to satisfactory performance, conduct and availability of posts, or till regular selection or promotion is made, whichever is earlier.

After completing the online application form, candidates must generate a J&K Bank Challan and deposit Rs 700 in the bank. The bank-verified challan must be uploaded on the online portal for final submission of the application.
Physical Submission
After successful online submission, candidates must personally deposit the printed application receipt along with the office copy of the bank challan at the Office of the Registrar Academics, Government Medical College Handwara.
Selection Process for Junior Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026
Selection will be conducted strictly in accordance with S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020. In case a large number of applications are received, the college may conduct a written MCQ-based test. The final merit list will be published on the official website of Government Medical College Handwara.
