According to Government Order No. 314–JK(GAD) of 2026 dated March 12, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the promotion has been granted in Pay Level-11 (₹67,700–₹2,08,700). The promotions will take effect from January 1, 2026, on a notional basis and on a regular basis prospectively.
As per the order, the officers promoted include Mohammad Zubair Lattoo, Narinder Kumar, Muazzam Ali, Priya Lakshmi, Mohd. Azhar Lone, Indu Jamwal, Wakeel Ahmed Batt, Asiya Nazir, Rashi Dutta, Akanksha Kalsotra, Preeti Sharma, Dr. Farukh Nasir Paul, Muneeb Umar, Bhumika Sharma, Parveez Ahmad Bhat, Saniya Malik, Aamir Ayaiz Rather, Mamta Rajput, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Shafqet Ali, Kanchan Bala, Abdul Rashid Raina, Mohd. Raiyaz and Mohammad Yousuf Ganaie.
The government order further states that officers listed at serial numbers 7 and 12 — Wakeel Ahmed Batt and Dr. Farukh Nasir Paul — have been designated as Deputy Secretaries in their respective departments. The remaining officers will continue at their current places of posting until further orders.
The order also mentions that these promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions, if pending before competent courts of law.
