Jammu and Kashmir Govt Announces Transfers of Senior JKAS Officers : SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a series of transfers and postings of senior JKAS officers in the interest of administration with immediate effect, as per Government Order No. 771–JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department.
According to the order, Ranjit Singh, who was serving as Special Secretary to the Government in the Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
Vaibhav Kohli, previously posted as Special Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, has been appointed as Excise Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir. He replaces Subash Chander Chhibber, who has been directed to await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
In another move, Sunil Sharma, Additional Secretary to the Government in the Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
