Power Alert: KPDCL Announces Shutdown Schedule Across Kashmir : SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across parts of Kashmir from April 25 to April 28 to facilitate maintenance works on transmission lines.
According to Chief Engineer Distribution, the shutdown of 33 kV Alastang-Nagbal and 33 kV Alastang-Zakura lines will affect power supply to Shuhama, Baqura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatahpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Saloora, Shairpathri, Pandach, Pathan Colony, Gulab Bagh, Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90 Feet Road, Khalmulla and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on April 25.
On April 26, shutdown of the 33 kV Alastang-Power House line will impact electricity supply to Beehama, Arampora, Arch, Nunner, Manigam, Duderhama, Maishaibagh, Wayil, Gutlibagh and adjoining areas during the same hours.
Also on April 26, shutdown of 132/33 kV GIS Tengpora will affect power supply to Danderkha, Batamaloo, PCR Batamaloo, Baranpather, HSHS and adjoining areas from 11 am to 2 pm.
On April 27, shutdown of 33 kV Kangan-Kangan and 33 kV Kangan-Surfraw lines will disrupt electricity supply to Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, Babanagri, Canal Gund, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw and Ganiwan from 9 am to 3 pm.
Similarly, on April 28, shutdown of 33 kV Kangan-Wussan and Badampora-Tulmulla Tap lines will affect Wussan, Preng, Manigam, Haripora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Larsun and adjoining areas during the same period.
KPDCL said the shutdowns are necessary for maintenance and urged consumers in affected areas to make necessary arrangements.(SOURCE : KASHMIR LIFE)
