Big Promotion Update: 40 Assistant Section Officers Promoted in J&K Secretariat: SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government’s General Administration Department (GAD) has sanctioned the grant of first and final in-situ promotion in favour of 40 Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) of the JK Secretariat (Subordinate) Service under the JK Civil Services (Higher Standard Pay Scale Scheme) Rules, 1996.
According to Government Order No. 843-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated April 27, 2026, issued following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held on April 10, 2026, the promoted officials will be placed in Pay Level-6D (Rs 35,800–Rs 1,13,200) with effect from their respective due dates between September 1, 2025, and February 1, 2026.
The beneficiaries include Ranjana Gupta, Sheraz Ahmed, Gotam Sharma, Imran Ahmad, Abdul Hamid Lone, Tinku Sethi, Rouf Ahmad Bhat, Asiya Hafeez, Ajaz Ul Zaman Wani, Imtiyaz Ahmad Sangoo, Abdul Basit Lone, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie, Amardeep Singh, Kulbir Singh, Munshi Sajad Hussain, Meenakshi Pandit Kaul, Manzoor Ahmad Banka, Jugmohan Singh, Vikrant Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Anil Kumar, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Jasvinder Kumar, Irfan Mahmood, Anil Kumar Pandith, Priya Gupta, Ram Singh, Sohan Lal, Garo Devi, Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Yudhvinder Singh, Abid Iqbal, Waiz Muzamil, Rouf Ahmad Jan, Abdul Majeed Wani, Kanika Gupta, Ajay Kumar, Paramjit Singh, Kundan Lal, and Yavour Ahmad Haji
