Administrative Reshuffle: 19 Law Officers Transferred in J&K: SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a major reshuffle in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, transferring and posting 19 Associate and Assistant Law Officers across various departments and field offices in the Union Territory with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 5761-JK(LD) of 2026 dated May 6, issued by the Civil Secretariat, the transfers have been made “in the interest of administration”, with all officials deemed relieved from the date of issuance of the order.
As per the order, Shaista Shafiq has been posted in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs at the Civil Secretariat, while Anmol Mahajan has been transferred to the Labour and Employment Department, Civil Secretariat. Tariq Assadullah Wani has been posted in the office of the Chief Engineer, Public Works (R and B) Circle, Anantnag, and Rehan Ali Wani in the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu.
Pritak Sharma has been transferred to the Directorate of Litigation, Jammu, while Sajad Ahmad Bhat has been posted in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, JK. Inshah Yasin has been shifted to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, relieving Deeba Khan, Assistant Legal Remembrancer, of additional charge, and will work in coordination with the District Litigation Office, Srinagar.
Puneet Kumari has been posted in the District Litigation Office, Kathua, while Sapana Sapolia has been transferred to the Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu. Sayeed Aftab Hussain Shah has been posted in the JK Pollution Control Committee, Jammu, and Zahoor Ahmad Shah in the Board of Professional Entrance Examination, Srinagar.
Adil Ahmad Wagay has been transferred to the office of the Director General of Accounts and Treasuries, JK, while Shah Faisal has been posted in the office of the Managing Director, JK Housing Board. Dinesh Jamwal has been shifted to the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, relieving Mohd Zayied of additional charge.
Among Assistant Law Officers, Tariq Aziz has been transferred to the District Litigation Office, Kulgam, relieving Rayees Ahmad Bhat of additional charge. Shahnawaz Sadiq has been posted in the Directorate of Litigation, Kashmir, while Tasaduq Suhail Sheikh has been placed in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs at the Civil Secretariat.
Daleep Kumar has been transferred to the office of the Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, Jammu, and Basit Farooq has been posted in the District Litigation Office, Doda.(KASHMIR LIFE)
