Gold Prices Rise in India, Touch Rs 13,985 Per Gram

SRINAGAR: Gold prices in India witnessed an increase on Friday, with the price of the precious metal rising to Rs 13,985.11 per gram, compared with Rs 13,904.04 per gram on Thursday, according to data compiled by FXStreet.

On a per-tola basis, gold prices also moved higher, reaching Rs 163,119.60 per tola, up from Rs 162,174.00 recorded a day earlier.

The latest figures mark an increase of Rs 81.07 per gram and Rs 945.60 per tola compared with Thursday’s rates.

The rise comes amid continued movement in domestic gold prices, with investors and consumers closely monitoring changes in the precious metals market.

Gold remains one of the most closely watched commodities in India, where prices can influence jewellery purchases, investment decisions and the broader bullion market.
