The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed 50 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers as Liaison Officers in connection with the 1st International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir. The officers have been assigned the responsibility of coordinating with visiting dignitaries, delegates and other important guests participating in the festival. According to the government order, the appointments will remain effective from September 7, 2026, to September 10, 2026.
The appointment of the Liaison Officers is aimed at ensuring smooth coordination and effective arrangements during the international-level film festival. The designated officers will facilitate communication between the administration and visiting guests and assist with their official requirements during the event. Their responsibilities are expected to include coordination, guidance and support to dignitaries and delegates throughout the festival.
The International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir is expected to provide a platform for filmmakers, artists, actors, delegates and cinema enthusiasts to showcase and explore diverse cinematic works. The participation of officials from the JKAS cadre is intended to strengthen administrative coordination and ensure that the visiting guests receive proper assistance.
The government’s decision comes ahead of the scheduled four-day event and reflects preparations to ensure its smooth and successful conduct. The detailed government order containing the names and postings of all 50 Liaison Officers has also been made available for public reference.
