SRINAGAR : A 60-year-old woman, who was injured in a road accident in the Uri area of Baramulla district on Monday, succumbed to her injuries at Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla.

Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that Soni Begum, wife of Noor Hassan and a resident of Dulanga, Uri, sustained injuries in the road mishap earlier today.
She was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri for initial treatment. After providing preliminary care, doctors referred her to GMC Baramulla for specialised treatment.
However, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings.
