Gold Prices Fall by Rs 120 to Rs 1.63 Lakh per 10 Grams

Srinagar: Gold prices declined by Rs 120 to Rs 1,63,109 per 10 grams in futures trade on Tuesday, August 25, amid subdued demand in the physical market. Recent market reports also show gold opened lower on MCX after four consecutive sessions of gains.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery fell Rs 120, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 1,63,109 per 10 grams. The contracts recorded a turnover of 1,595 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline mainly to weaker demand in the spot market.

In international trade, gold futures also slipped, reflecting pressure in global markets. Gold remained at elevated levels despite the day’s decline, with global price movements and domestic demand continuing to influence prices.
