Appointment of Class IV posts in the Jammu and Kashmir

Appointment of Class-IV posts in the UT /Divisional/District cadres in the Public Works (R&B) Department.


On the recommendation of the J&K Services Selection Board endorsed by the General Administration Department, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of selected candidates against the post of Class-IV (Orderly/Road Worker/Chowkidar/Gate Keeper/ Model Operator/Gauge Reader/ Laboratory Khalsi/Laboratory Attendant/ Gang Coolle) in the Divisional Cadre Jammu/Kashmir/UT as per details forming Annexure “A” to this order in respective categories of nomenclature of the post to be allotted by concerned Chief Engineer/HoD in the Pay Level of SL-1 (14800-47100) in the Public Works (R&B) Department.

Consequent upon their appointment, the appointee(s) shall report in the office of the Chief Engineers/HoD concerned as indicated in Annexure ‘A’ within a period of twenty one (21) days from the date of issuance of this order. In case any candidate fails to join within the stipulated time period, his/her appointment shall be deemed to have been cancelled ab initio without any notice. District wise Class-IV appointees list is at Annexure ‘B’.

The appointee(s) shall be allowed to join on production of the following

documents/certificates (in original) to be verified subsequently: –

1. Academic/Qualification Certificate.

2. Matriculation/Date of Birth Certificate issued by the recognized Educational Board.

3. Health certificate from the concerned Chief Medical Officer of the District. 4. Domicile Certificate from the competent Authority.

5. Certificate from the District Industries Centre (DIC) and District

Employment & Counseling Centre to the effect that no loan under any self

employment scheme has been availed by the appointee. 6. Valid relevant Category Certificate, if any applicable.
