Bear Attack on Woman in North Kashmir
In north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a 39-year-old woman named Shaheena Begum was critically injured after a black bear attacked her while she was working in her kitchen garden in Lolab area. She was immediately taken to SDH Sogam for treatment.

According to locals, there have been two black bears in the area for almost a week, and despite informing the Wildlife Department officials, no action has been taken yet. The locals expressed their concerns about the bears’ presence and the potential danger it poses to human lives.
