Srinagar, Nov 1 (Times of Kashmir):
The Power Development Department (PDD) has revealed that it collected a total revenue of ₹376 crore from non-metered areas across Jammu and Kashmir during the financial year 2025–26, officials said on Friday.

According to the Minister Incharge PDD, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) accounted for the majority of the collection, realizing ₹344 crore, while the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) collected ₹32 crore during the same period.Qouting by Kashmir life.

KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Schedule for Several Areas in Kashmir from November 1
Among the KPDCL divisions, Budgam emerged as the top contributor with ₹43 crore, followed by Kulgam (₹36 crore) and Anantnag (₹33 crore). Other major contributors included Awantipora (₹30 crore), Pulwama (₹26 crore), and Shopian (₹24 crore).
In the Jammu region, Kathua led the revenue collection under JPDCL with ₹7 crore, followed by Poonch (₹6 crore), and Kishtwar and Rajouri with ₹4 crore each.
Meanwhile, the minister clarified that no hike in power tariffs has been made in Jammu and Kashmir since the tariff order issued by the Electricity Regulatory Commission on November 23, 2023.
