Srinagar Weather Update: More Rain and Thunderstorm Expected in Jammu and Kashmir
The weather department in Srinagar has predicted that Jammu and Kashmir will experience more rain and thunderstorm in the coming days. While there is a gradual improvement expected from today afternoon onwards, widespread light to moderate rain (snow over upper reaches) and thunderstorm with hail storm and gusty winds are predicted at a few places on May 2-3.
From May 4-7, there is a possibility of a brief spell of rain and thunderstorm at scattered places towards evening. The overall weather is expected to be erratic during this period.
If we talk about the rainfall during the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today, Srinagar received 0.4mm, Gulmarg 0.4mm, Jammu 4.3mm, Batote 0.4mm, Katra 19.4mm, and Bhaderwah 4.6mm.
The current weather condition in Jammu and Kashmir is expected to bring rain and thunderstorms to many areas in the region. However, there will be a gradual improvement in weather conditions from the afternoon onwards.

For May 2nd to May 3rd, there is a forecast of snow over higher reaches, along with thunderstorms, hailstorms, and gusty winds at a few places during this period.
