LPG Gas Cylinder Reduced By Govt- New Rates In Your Cities
On the first day of the fiscal year 2023-24, the government has announced a cut in the prices of commercial gas cylinders by approximately Rs 92. As a result, the price of a commercial gas cylinder in Delhi has been revised to Rs 2028, while in Mumbai, it is now Rs 1,980. It’s worth noting that over the last year, the price of commercial gas cylinders in Delhi has only decreased by Rs 225. It’s important to highlight that just last month, the government had hiked the prices of commercial gas cylinders by Rs 350.

In contrast to domestic LPG cylinders, the prices of commercial gas cylinders are subject to continuous changes. As of April 1st, 2022, a 19kg commercial gas cylinder was being sold for Rs 2,253 in Delhi. However, the prices have now been lowered to Rs 2,028. It’s worth mentioning that in the last year, the prices of commercial gas cylinders have only decreased by Rs 225 in Delhi.
Moreover, the Government had announced earlier to extend the subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) by one year from April 1, 2023. The scheme provides Rs 200 per LPG cylinder to rural and deprived poor households.
