RTI reveals that there are 273 NT posts and 2144 patwari posts open in Jammu and Kashmir.

An RTI report filed by activist Keshav Sharma has revealed that there are 273 vacancies for the position of Naib Tehsildar and 2144 vacancies for the position of Patwari in Jammu and Kashmir. This news has caused concern among unemployed youth in the state, who are urging the government to fill the vacant positions.

The Naib Tehsildar and Patwari positions are important in the state, as they are responsible for revenue collection, land administration, and maintaining land records. The government’s failure to fill these vacancies could impact the smooth functioning of the revenue collection system, leading to delays and backlogs in the processing of land-related documents.

Unemployed youth in the state are demanding that the government advertise the vacant positions and fill them at the earliest. They argue that this would not only provide employment opportunities but also help in the smooth functioning of the revenue collection system.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has not yet responded to these concerns, but it is hoped that they will take appropriate action to fill the vacant positions. The high unemployment rate in the state has been a cause for concern for some time, and filling these vacancies could provide some relief to the unemployed youth.
