Sarpanch Arrested In Kashmir For Accused Rape
In a disturbing incident, a Sarpanch from the Baramulla district in North Kashmir has been arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir police on charges of sexually assaulting a woman.

The victim, whose identity has been kept anonymous, alleged that she was victimized by the Sarpanch, who operates under the jurisdiction of the Dangiwacha Rafiabad police station.

The victim’s relatives submitted a written application to the Sopore police, after which the accused Sarpanch was taken into custody.

A police official confirmed the incident and stated that a case has been registered under FIR no 26/ 2023, citing sections 376, 506, and 109 of the Indian Penal Code, at a local police Qouting by Kashmir life
