School Teacher suspended for biting off colleague’s ear in Baramulla

 

Baramulla, CNS, 25-Feb; A school teacher of a government school has been suspended with immediate effect for allegedly biting off a colleague’s ear during a verbal altercation over an official assignment in Pattan area of Baramulla.

As per the order issued by the Chief education officer Baramulla, “On the basis of recommendations by the Zonal Education Officer Pattan under above reference, pending enquiry into the conduct of Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Teacher-Grade IInd at MS Shah Mohalla Buchoo, Zone Pattan is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, in terms of Rule 31 of J&K CSR-1956”.

It is further ordered that during the period of suspension, Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, remain attached into office of the Chief Education Officer Baramulla.

Notably, the incident happened at Government Middle School Buchoo Village in education zone Pattan on February 21. The accused assaulted his colleague and bit his ear during the scuffle, which started due to a heated argument between the two staffers at the school.(CNS)
