Shahrukh Khan Visits Kashmir to Shoot Film “Dunki” After 12 Years: Boosting Film Tourism and Economy
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is currently in Kashmir to shoot his upcoming film “Dunki”, which also stars actress Tapasee Panu and is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. This marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and the acclaimed director. The film is said to be a comedy and will be released by the end of this year.
Shahrukh Khan had previously shot the film “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” in Kashmir 12 years ago. He has been shooting for “Dunki” in Sonamarg for the past few days and is expected to visit the Panzgam-Dogripora area of Pulwama district tomorrow to shoot a part of the movie.
Qouting by KNO,According to officials, all arrangements have been put in place for the shoot as film crews are returning to Kashmir after a long time, which is expected to boost the economy and film tourism in the region. The locals in Dogripora, Naina, Kawini, and Badripora have expressed their happiness as Khan’s visit prompted the authorities to repair the road from Sangam to Panzgam railway station.
The film crew will be shooting a part of the movie near the Panzgam railway station, and all trains will run through but not halt at the station during the shoot. It is expected that this visit by Shahrukh Khan and the film crew will bring a new dimension to film tourism in Kashmir.
