Six Injured in School Bus and Sumo Vehicle Collision in Handwara, Kupwara District”
In Handwara, a village located in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a school bus and a sumo vehicle collided resulting in injuries to six people.
The incident occurred in Mirpora Qalamabad, and the injured individuals were identified as Ruqaya Begum (25), Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger (42), Mohammad Asif (22), Aaqib Ahmad (21), Reyaz Ahmad Wani (30), and Sajjad Ahmad (28). They were immediately taken to NTPHC Qalamabad for treatment, and two of the injured, Ruqaya Begum and Reyaz Ahmad Wani, were later transferred to District Hospital Handwara.

The other four were discharged after receiving first aid. According to SHO Qalamabad Dr Anam Manhas, all injured individuals are in stable condition, but the two who were transferred to the district hospital are being closely monitored, especially the pregnant woman, to rule out any potential complications from the accident.
The authorities have taken appropriate action regarding the incident.
