Tragic Incident: Woman Jumps into River and Commits Suicide

SRINAGAR: On Tuesday morning, a woman jumped into the Jhelum River near Zero Bridge in the Rajbagh neighbourhood of Srinagar, according to officials.

According to KNO, who cited officials, a woman (name withheld), a Sonwar resident, plunged into the Jehlum River close to Zero Bridge Rajbagh Srinagar. Soon after the occurrence, villagers with the aid of Rajbagh police were able to locate the body, which was then sent to the closest hospital for medical and legal requirements.

In the interim, authorities have recognised the occurrence and are conducting an inquiry.
