4 JKAS Officers Transferred by J&K Government, Fresh Postings Ordered

Srinagar/Jammu:
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday ordered the transfer and posting of four Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers with immediate effect in the interest of administration.

According to Government Order No. 1934-JK (GAD) of 2025 dated December 22, 2025, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the reshuffle includes postings to the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and the Information Department.

As per the order, Mr. Lal Chand, JKAS, Deputy Commissioner (South), Jammu Municipal Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

Mr. Nasir Ahmed Butt, JKAS (Junior Scale), who was serving as Assistant Director in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (Trade and Store), Jammu, has been transferred and his services placed at the disposal of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on an ex-cadre basis.

Similarly, Mr. Najeeb Latief, JKAS (Junior Scale), posted as Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Nagseni, Kishtwar, has also been transferred and placed at the disposal of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on an ex-cadre basis.

In another order, Mr. Abhimanyu Singh, JKAS (Junior Scale), presently posted in the office of the Resident Commission, J&K Government, New Delhi, has been recalled and his services placed at the disposal of the Information Department for further posting.

The order has been issued with immediate effect and has been signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.

The transfers are part of routine administrative reshuffles aimed at strengthening governance and improving departmental functioning across the Union Territory.
