44 JKAS Officers to Retire in 2026 as J&K Government Issues Superannuation Notification

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has notified the retirement on superannuation of 44 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) during the calendar year 2026

According to a retirement notification issued by the General Administration Department (Services), as per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the officers will retire on attaining the age of superannuation on different dates throughout 2026. The list includes senior officers presently serving in key administrative positions across various departments of the Union Territory.

The retiring officers are posted in departments such as Finance, Home, Revenue, Rural Development, Education, Horticulture, Industries and Commerce, Social Welfare, Forest, Urban Local Bodies, and other important wings of the administration. Some of them are holding posts as Commissioners/Secretaries, Directors, Deputy Commissioners, Additional Secretaries, and Deputy Secretaries, among others.

The notification has been issued in accordance with service rules and mentions that the retirements will take effect in the afternoon of the respective dates indicated against each officer’s name. (KNC)
