JAMMU: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) has invited applications for the engagement of research staff under an ICSSR-sponsored research project in the Department of National Security Studies.

Central University of Jammu Vacancy 2026
The recruitment notification includes the following positions:
1. Research Assistant
- Number of Posts: 01
- Duration mentioned in the table: 11 months
- Remuneration: ₹37,000 per month (consolidated)
- Qualification: Post Graduate degree in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Preference: Candidates with NET/M.Phil./Ph.D. may be given preference.
According to the terms of the notification, the initial tenure for the Research Assistant position will be 8 months, which may be extended by a further 3 months.
2. Field Investigator

- Remuneration: ₹20,000 per month (consolidated)
- Qualification: Post Graduate degree in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
The initial tenure for the Field Investigator position will be 4 months, which may be extended by a further 2 months.
Nature of Engagement
The positions are purely temporary and part-time in nature.
The engagement will automatically end with the termination of the project or earlier at the discretion of the Project Director/Project Co-Director.
The selected candidates will not have any right to claim regular employment or permanent appointment at the Central University of Jammu on the basis of this engagement.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for a physical interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email regarding the interview.
The decision of the selection committee regarding the selection of candidates will be final.
The notification also states that no TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for the interview.
