RBI Srinagar Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
Candidates applying for the Medical Consultant post must fulfil the educational and experience requirements prescribed by RBI.
Educational Qualification
The applicant should possess an MBBS degree from a university recognised by the Medical Council of India under the allopathic system of medicine.
Candidates holding a postgraduate degree in General Medicine are also eligible to apply.
Experience
Applicants should have at least two years of experience in practising medicine in a hospital or clinic.
Local Requirement
The applicant should have their own clinic/dispensary or place of residence within approximately 3–5 km of the RBI office at Rajbagh, Srinagar, as prescribed in the recruitment advertisement.
RBI Medical Consultant Salary
The Medical Consultant will be paid fixed hourly remuneration during the contractual engagement.
The remuneration is as follows:
- MBBS doctors with up to 20 years of experience: ₹1,400 per hour
- MBBS doctors with more than 20 years of experience: ₹1,800 per hour
- Doctors with MD qualification: ₹1,800 per hour
The indicative duty requirement is 8 hours per month, depending on the requirements of the Bank.
Out of the total monthly remuneration, ₹1,000 per month may be treated as conveyance expenses.
Payment will be made monthly, and applicable taxes will be deducted at source according to the prevailing rules.
Contract Duration
The engagement will be for a period of three years from the date of engagement.
The appointment is temporary and contractual and will not create any right or claim for regular employment with RBI.
The engagement will not be renewed after completion of the three-year contract, as specified in the recruitment terms.
The selected Medical Consultant will also not be entitled to regular employee benefits such as pension, provident fund or gratuity.

Duties of Medical Consultant

If the consultant is absent from duty, they will be required to make substitute arrangements acceptable to the Bank. Any substitute must fulfil the prescribed qualification and experience requirements.
