Two Army Personnel Killed as Military Vehicle Plunges Into Gorge Near Namika La Pass in Ladakh
, Nov 4: Two Indian Army personnel, including the driver and co-driver, died on the spot after a heavy-duty Army vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Namika La Pass on National Highway-01 in Ladakh.
Officiala told that soon after the accident, District Police promptly launched a rescue operation and acting as first responders, successfully retrieved both bodies from the gorge. The bodies were subsequently shifted to CHC Chiktan for medico-legal formalities.
In this connection, a case under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at Police Station Wakha.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.(GNS)
