Kashmir Power Shutdown September 22–29: KPDCL Issues Schedule for Several Areas
SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas across Kashmir will remain affected on different days this week as the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) carries out scheduled maintenance work on multiple 33 kV power lines.
According to KPDCL, the shutdowns have been planned to facilitate necessary maintenance of the concerned transmission lines. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to take note of the scheduled timings.
KPDCL Power Shutdown Schedule in Kashmir
September 22: Kangan-Surfraw Line
The 33 kV Kangan-Surfraw line will remain shut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 22.
Power supply will be affected in:
- Gund
- Kullan
- Gagangeer
- Sonamarg
- Fraw
- Ganiwan
- Adjoining areas
September 23: Airforce Line
The 33 kV Airforce line will remain shut from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 23.
The shutdown will affect power supply in Peerbagh, Cooperative Colony, Jeelanabad, Hyderpora, Nadru, PHQ, Airport, Sheikhpora, Friends Colony, Humhama Heights and Tawheed Bagh, among other adjoining areas.
September 23: Pohrupeth Tapline
Also on September 23, the 33 kV Pohrupeth tapline of the 33 kV Handwara Hot line will remain shut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The affected locations include:
- Flour Mill
- Army Camp
September 24 and 28: Pampore-BK Pora Line
The 33 kV Pampore-BK Pora line will remain shut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 24 and September 28.
Power supply will be affected in BK Pora, Khanda, Chattergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Shalina, Wagoora, Wadipora, Aribagh and Checkpora, along with adjoining areas.
September 24: Budgam Line
The 33 kV Budgam line will remain shut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 24.
The shutdown will affect Budgam, Sebdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Ompora, SIDCO, Housing Colony, Railway Station Budgam and NIFT, among other areas.
September 24 and 29: Badampora-Lar Tulmulla Line
The 33 kV Badampora-Lar Tulmulla line will remain shut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 24 and September 29.
Affected areas include Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru and Larsun, besides adjoining areas.
September 26: Kangan-Kangan Line
The 33 kV Kangan-Kangan line will remain shut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 26.
Power supply will be affected in:
- Mammer
- Wangath
- Kangan
- Akhal
- Baba Nagri
- Canal areas
KPDCL Says Shutdowns Are for Maintenance Work
KPDCL said the scheduled power shutdowns are being carried out to facilitate necessary maintenance work on the respective 33 kV lines.
Residents and consumers in the affected areas should therefore plan accordingly during the specified shutdown hours, as power supply may remain unavailable or affected during the maintenance period.
