Kashmir Power Shutdown Schedule for October 7, 10, 11 and 14, 2026
Srinagar: Several areas across Kashmir are set to face scheduled power shutdowns on October 7, 10, 11 and 14, 2026, due to maintenance and related work on various 33 kV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the planned shutdowns will affect several areas across Srinagar, Anantnag, Bandipora and Budgam districts during different hours.
Power Shutdown on October 7
Power supply to Dooru, Nowgam, Chowgund, Qammer Hiller, Sadiwara, Verinag, Toolpost and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 7.
The disruption is due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Lisser-Dooru line for maintenance work.
The 33 kV Nehalpora-Markundal line will also remain shut from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 7, October 11 and October 14.
The shutdown will affect power supply to Markundal, Naidkhai, Sumbal, Gund Boon and adjoining areas.
Power Shutdown on October 10
A scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV KP Bagh line will be carried out from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 10.
During this period, power supply to KP Bagh, Soiteng PHE, Mehjoornagar, Jawaharnagar, Kursoo, Rajbagh, Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi and adjoining areas will remain affected.
Power supply to Ompora, SIDCO, Housing Colony, Budgam Railway Station, NIFT and adjoining areas will also be affected from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 10 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam-SIDCO line.
220 kV Wagoora-Zainakote Shutdown Cancelled
Meanwhile, KPDCL has clarified that the previously scheduled shutdown of the 220 kV Wagoora-Zainakote Circuit-I line on October 10 has been cancelled.
Residents and consumers in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements during the scheduled shutdown hours.
