The maintenance work, slated from October 23 to November 6, 2025, will affect areas in Pulwama, Shopian, and central Srinagar, necessitating temporary disruptions for long-term reliability.

The corporation has stated that these essential shutdowns are required to carry out critical maintenance, repair, and upgrade works on several 33 KV transmission lines. Residents are advised to note the following schedule and plan their daily activities, including business operations and water pumping, accordingly to minimize inconvenience.

Pulwama District: Extensive Work on Tral & Awantipora Feeders

The towns of Tral and its adjoining areas will see multiple shutdowns as KPDCL undertakes work on two major lines:

· October 23 (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM): A shutdown of the 33 KV Tral–I and Tral–II AIIMS Awantipora lines will impact power supply to Tral, Dadsara, Chewa, Tral Bala, Noorpora, Lurgam, Gulabagh, Aripal, IUST, and surrounding villages.
· October 25, 27, & 30 (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM): The 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will be shut down, affecting Arhama, Pinjoora, Chowdharygund, Trenz, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahnoo, Zawoora, and Shirmal.
· October 27, 30, November 3 & 6 (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM): A specific shutdown of the 33 KV Tapline of Tral–I from Nowdal will affect the Tral, Tral-i-Bala, and Chewa receiving stations.

Shopian District: Maintenance Affecting Key Administrative and Residential Zones

Shopian district will also experience scheduled interruptions to facilitate infrastructure upgrades:

· October 23 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM): The 33 KV Lassipora–Reshipora line will be off, disrupting supply to Zainapora, Chitragam, Turkawangam, Aglar, Nagbal, Reban, Sugan, and Awnera.
· October 25 & 29 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM): A shutdown of the 33 KV Lassipora–Landoora line will impact Landoora, Chakoora, Hermain, Hajipora, Mantribugh, Momin, Wachi, and Babapora.
· October 26 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM): The 33 KV Kanipora–Batapora line will be shut down, affecting power supply in Batapora, the DC Office Shopian, Gagren, Meemandhar, Sharatpora, Shahlatoo, Sedew, Hurpora, and Devpora.

Srinagar District: Batamaloo Receiving Station Maintenance

In the central Srinagar area, a significant shutdown is planned for:

· October 23 (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM): The Batamaloo receiving station will be completely shut down. This will lead to a power cut in Batamaloo, Firdousabad, Magarmal Bagh, and all adjacent localities.
