J&K Govt Orders Major Transfers in Economics & Statistics Department — Full List of Officers
Srinagar, Nov 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a significant reshuffle in the Economics and Statistics (Gazetted) Service, transferring and posting several senior officers in the interest of administration. The order, issued under Government Order No. 166-JK(PD&MD) of 2025, was released by the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department on November 6, 2025.

Complete List of Transfers and Postings (as per Order No. 166-JK(PD&MD) of 2025)
- Rajni, Joint Director (E&S) — Transferred from Housing & Urban Development Department to Planning Development & Monitoring Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar.
- Mohd Iqbal, Joint Director (E&S) — Transferred from Planning Department, Pulwama to Joint Director (E&S), Housing & Urban Development Department vice Smt. Rajni.
- Shama-un-Ahmad, Joint Director (E&S) — Transferred from Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, J&K to Chief Planning Officer vice Sh. Mohd Iqbal.
- Abdal Rashid Sher Gujri, Joint Director (E&S) — Transferred from Chief Planning Officer, Pulwama to O/o MD KPDCL (Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited) against an available post. He will also look after the work in the Directorate of Social Welfare, Kashmir until further orders.
- Munisha Gupta, Joint Director (E&S) — From Joint Director (E&S), Planning Department to Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, J&K vice Sh. Shama-un-Ahmad.
- Dr. Monika, Joint Director (E&S) — From Directorate of Health Services, Jammu to Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K vice Smt. Munisha Gupta.
- Aashiq Hussain Khanday, Joint Director (E&S) — From Expenditure Division-II, Finance Department to Chief Planning Officer, Pulwama vice Abdal Rashid Sher Gujri.
- Priyanka Darshni, Deputy Director (E&S) — From Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu to Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K against available post.
- Yaqoob Zargar, Deputy Director (E&S) — From Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K to Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu vice Priyanka Darshni.
- Akhtar Hussain Malik, Deputy Director (E&S) — From District Statistics & Evaluation Officer, Ganderbal to Housing & Urban Development Department vice S. Ravinder Singh.
- Ravinder Singh, Deputy Director (E&S) — From Housing & Urban Development Department to Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K vice Sh. Yaqoob Zargar.
- Raman Sharma, Deputy Director (E&S) — From Development Expenditure Division-I, Finance Department to Directorate of Health Services, Jammu vice Dr. Monika.
- Mohd Anwar Dar, Deputy Director (E&S) — From Assistant Commissioner, Development Pulwama to Evaluation Officer, Pulwama against available post.
Additionally, the government has ordered that the Chief Planning Officer, Ganderbal shall also look after the work of District Statistics & Evaluation Officer, Ganderbal until further orders.
The order was issued under the signature of Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, IAS, Financial Commissioner (ACS), Planning Development & Monitoring Department, dated 06-11-2025.
Purpose of the Reshuffle
Officials stated that the latest administrative reshuffle is aimed at improving coordination and ensuring efficient functioning of planning and monitoring mechanisms across departments. The move is part of the government’s broader strategy to bring greater transparency and accountability in development planning.
