SRINAGAR: Jammu residents have been informed of scheduled power outages across multiple areas from January 10 to 12, as maintenance and grid operations continue, officials said.

The Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, stated that electricity supply to Akhnoor, Gangyal, Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Railhead Complex, Jammu University, City area, DC Office, Boria PHE, Sunjwan, Narwal, Bathindi, Channi Himmat, Transport Nagar, and areas served by Grid Stations Sidhra, Janipur, Jhajjarkotli, BB-I and BB-II will remain suspended on January 11 from 12 noon to 5 pm.
Power to Premnagar, Dhara, Thathri, Changa, Gundoh, Bhatyas and adjoining areas will be affected on January 10 and 11 from 9 am to 4 pm.
The Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL OM Circle Kathua, further stated that supply to Kaluchak, Birpur Complex Old, BB Town and nearby areas will be cut on January 11 from 9 am to 12 noon, while Sanura and adjoining areas will face outages on January 10 from 9 am to 2 pm.
Additionally, electricity to Mawa, BSF, Rehian and nearby areas will be disrupted on January 10 and 12 from 9 am to 2 pm, and Birpur, Ansal and adjoining localities will experience power cuts on January 11 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Authorities have urged residents and businesses to plan accordingly and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
