The deceased has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Wani, son of Bashir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Oriel Kund in Kulgam. The fatal accident occurred while the truck was passing through Madhya Pradesh, where dense fog severely reduced visibility on the highway.

Officials said the truck lost control and struck the divider, resulting in serious injuries to the driver and two others travelling in the truck. Suhail Ahmad Wani succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Preliminary information suggests that poor visibility due to thick fog was a major factor behind the accident. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary legal formalities.[KNT]
