SRINAGAR: A 10-year-old girl lost her life while her mother sustained critical injuries after they were allegedly hit by a motorcycle in the Chadoora area of Budgam district on Monday, officials said.

An official said that the mother and daughter were struck by a motorcycle in Chadoora area of Budgam.
He said, both were immediately shifted to SDH Chadoora for treatment. However, the girl succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while her mother was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, and her condition is said to be critical. She was later identified as, Shakeel Bano, wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar and identification of daughter has been kept hidden.
Meanwhile, investigation has been taken-up.—(KNO)
