J&K Weather Update: Western Disturbance to Trigger Rain, Thunderstorms : SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Department on Wednesday said that a weak western disturbance is approaching Jammu and Kashmir and is likely to bring light rainfall across the region.
Director Meteorological Department Mukhtar Ahmad stated that brief spells of rain are expected during the late afternoon on April 16, while light to moderate rainfall is likely across Jammu and Kashmir on April 17, 18, and 19.
He added that the period may also witness thunderstorms, gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms, along with possible fluctuations in temperatures.
According to the forecast, weather conditions are expected to turn dry from April 20 and are likely to remain stable until April 25.
In view of the forecast, farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural activities on April 17, 18, and 19 to prevent potential damage due to adverse weather conditions.
