Ladakh Administration Appoints New Deputy Commissioners, Reshuffles Officers
The Union Territory administration in Ladakh has appointed five IAS and JKAS officers as Deputy Commissioners to manage newly created administrative units.
According to the official order issued by the General Administration Department, the move aims to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency in the region.
As part of the changes:
- Nitish Rajora (IAS) has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Changthang.
- Mukil Beniwal (IAS) is now Deputy Commissioner, Nubra.
- Omkar Rajendra Gundage (IAS) has been appointed Deputy Commissioner, Zanskar.
- Kunz Angmo (JKAS) will serve as Deputy Commissioner, Sham.
- Indeez Kacho (JKAS) has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Drass.
Alongside these appointments, four other senior officers have also been given additional responsibilities to support the administrative restructuring.
The administration stated that these transfers and postings will take effect immediately to ensure smooth functioning of governance in the newly formed units.
