J&K Finance Department Orders Transfers of State Tax and Excise Inspectors
Jammu, September 18: The Finance Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfers and postings of several State Tax Inspectors and Excise Inspectors across the Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
The transfers have been ordered through Government Order No. 298-FD of 2026 dated September 17, 2026, issued by the Finance Department from the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
According to the order, the officials have been assigned new places of posting with immediate effect.
State Tax Inspectors Transferred in Jammu Division
The order includes a number of transfers and postings in the State Taxes Department, Jammu Division.
Among the officials transferred are:
- Harminder Singh Dhir — transferred from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (North), Udhampur, to Circle-P, Jammu.
- Mohd Salim — posted to Circle-Doda after being relieved from the Excise Department and awaiting adjustment.
- Paramveer Singh — transferred from State Taxes (Recovery), Jammu, to Circle-Kathua-I.
- Gulzar Ahmad — transferred from State Taxes Enforcement, Kathua, to Circle-Ramban.
- Shayan Ji Saleem — transferred from Circle-J, Jammu, to Circle-Rajouri.
- Anurag Sharma — posted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (South), Samba, from the Central Division.
- Neeraj Singh Chib — transferred from the Audit Cell to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (Central), Jammu.
Other postings mentioned in the order include:
- Deepak Singh — Circle-C, Jammu
- Sachin Slathia — Circle-Kishtwar
- Rajesh Singh — Circle-Kathua-I
- Anish Mahajan — Circle-G, Jammu
- Rachit Sharma — Circle-H, Jammu
- Sanjeev Kumar Sakolia — Circle-Kathua-II
- Sahil Choudhary — Circle-Poonch
- Ch. Talib Hussain — Circle-Reasi
- Avinash Dogra — Circle-Kathua-II
The order further states that Sandeep Kumar Rana shall continue at his existing place of posting at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (South), Samba.
Abhishek Abrol has been posted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (North), Udhampur, while Ms. Ekta has been posted to the State Taxes Check Post, Railway Station, Jammu (Goods Side).
Transfers in Kashmir Division
The Finance Department has also ordered postings in the State Taxes Department in the Kashmir Division.
Sajad Hussain Baldave has been transferred from State Taxes (Recovery), Kashmir, to Circle-Budgam.
Malik Vikarul Hassan, who was awaiting adjustment, has been posted to Circle-I, Kashmir.
Excise Inspectors Also Reassigned
The government order also covers the transfer and posting of Excise Inspectors.
In the Jammu Division, the following officials have been posted:
- Vishal — Office of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Accounts), Jammu
- Neel Raj Gupta — Office of the Excise Commissioner, J&K
- Deepak Sharma — Office of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Distilleries), Jammu
All three officials were previously awaiting orders of adjustment.
Excise Transfers in Kashmir
In the Kashmir Division, Ms. Afshan and Mobashar Altaf have been transferred from the Excise Range APSK (Sub-Range: Pulwama-Shopian) to the Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal Excise Range.
Ms. Afshan has been assigned to the general range, while Mobashar Altaf has been posted to the Sub-Range: Ganderbal.
Officials Relieved With Immediate Effect
As per the government order, all transferred officials shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present places of posting with immediate effect.
The order has been issued by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and signed by Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (ACS), Finance Department.
