Two-Year-Old Child Rescued from Jhelum River in Srinagar: SRINAGAR: A two-year-old child was rescued after a drowning incident in the Jhelum River near the Parimpora area of Srinagar on Monday and was hospitalised, officials said.
Reports stated that the child, a resident of Fruit Mandi Parimpora, had accidentally fallen into the river near a footbridge.
He was rescued by a local resident and immediately shifted to Children’s Hospital Bemina, where his condition is stated to be serious.
Officials said cognisance has been taken of the incident and further investigation has been initiated. (JKNS)
