Big Promotion Update: 1,785 Personnel Elevated in J&K Police
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday promoted 1,785 personnel to their next ranks following the recommendations of a departmental promotion committee, a police spokesperson said.
The committee, chaired by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir VK Birdi, evaluated the eligibility and service records of head constables, selection grade constables, and constables before clearing the promotions.
As per the approval, 300 head constables have been elevated to the rank of assistant sub-inspectors, 1,020 selection grade constables promoted to head constables, and 465 constables advanced to selection grade constables.
The IGP congratulated the promoted personnel and their families, expressing hope that they would continue to serve with dedication in maintaining public peace, law and order, and tranquillity in the Union Territory, the spokesperson added.(SOURCE: KASHMIR LIFE)
