BJP Wins Nagrota By-Poll, PDP Secures Budgam Seat for the First Time

JAMMU, Nov 14: The BJP registered a decisive victory in the Nagrota Assembly by-poll on Friday, while the PDP created history by securing the Budgam seat for the first time.
BJP candidate Devyani Rana clinched the Nagrota constituency with 42,350 votes, recording an impressive winning margin of 24,647 votes.

In Budgam, PDP’s Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi secured a notable win with 21,576 votes, defeating Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi of the National Conference, who received 17,098 votes.


With these results, the BJP’s strength in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly has risen to 29 MLAs, while the PDP’s tally has increased to 4.
