Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Radio Operator:
- Intermediate (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate marks.
- OR Matriculation with a two-year ITI certificate in specified trades.
- Radio Mechanic:
- Intermediate (10+2) with PCM and minimum 60% aggregate marks.
- OR Matriculation with a two-year ITI certificate in relevant trades.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Relaxations as per government norms: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years
Nationality:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Selection Process
- Written Examination:
- Mode: Objective Type (OMR-based / CBT)
- Subjects:
- Physics: 40 marks
- Chemistry: 20 marks
- Mathematics: 20 marks
- English & General Knowledge: 20 marks
- Total: 100 marks
- Duration: 2 hours
- Negative Marking: Applicable as per notification
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male Candidates: Running, long jump, and high jump
- Female Candidates: Relaxed standards in comparison to males
- Descriptive Test / Skill Test:
- For Radio Operator: Dictation test and transcription test
- For Radio Mechanic: Technical skill test related to electronics and mechanics
- Medical Examination:
- Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards as set by BSF.
- Final Merit List:
- Based on performance in all stages of the recruitment process.
