Doctors Posting Order 2026: J&K Govt Issues New Transfer List for Medical Officers
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Health & Medical Education Department has issued a fresh order regarding the posting of doctors awaiting adjustment. The order has been released in the interest of patient care and aims to strengthen healthcare services across various districts.
Order Details
As per Government Order No. 275-JK(HME) of 2026 dated 07-04-2026, a total of 24 doctors have been posted to different hospitals and health institutions across Jammu division with immediate effect.

• Several specialists including ENT, Psychiatry, Anaesthesia, Radiology, and Gynaecology doctors have been deployed
• Major postings include District Hospitals (DH), Sub-District Hospitals (SDH), and Community Health Centres (CHC)
• Areas like Kishtwar, Reasi, Akhnoor, Sundarbani, Katra, Bhadarwah, and others have received new doctors

• Dr. Tania Nazir posted at DH Kishtwar
• Dr. Vijay Bharti and Dr. Meenakshi Devi posted at DH Reasi
• Dr. Akhil Menia posted at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu
• Dr. Shahana Jabeen posted at SDH Sunderbani
• Dr. Sadiya Malik posted at SDH Parole
• Dr. Prtima Sambyal posted at SDH Akhnoor
• Dr. Beema Akhter posted at CHC Darhal
More doctors have been assigned to hospitals in Katra, Hiranagar, Chenani, Bhadarwah, Vijaypur, and other areas to improve medical services.
Final Instructions
All doctors have been directed to report to their respective places of posting immediately. The Director of Health Services Jammu has also been instructed to ensure compliance within three days.
This move is expected to improve healthcare facilities and ensure better patient care across the region.
