GCET Jammu Recruitment 2025: Apply for Assistant Professor and Lecturer Posts in Engineering and Science DepartmentGovernment College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Jammu, has announced a recruitment notification for the engagement of Assistant Professors and Assistant Lecturers for the academic session 2025–26. The appointments will be made on an academic arrangement basis, purely temporary and need-based.

The recruitment includes various departments such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Humanities, and Training & Placement. Applicants must meet the required educational qualifications and age criteria. The upper age limit for all applicants is 45 years as of the last date of application submission.
Eligible candidates are required to submit the duly filled application form along with the necessary documents to the office of the Principal, GCET Jammu, on or before 15th July 2025. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 200 must be deposited in the designated bank account.
The selection will be based on merit and may involve a written test or interview. Candidates holding NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. qualifications are exempted from the written test and will be shortlisted directly for interview. The final selection will be based on the merit list prepared by the selection committee.
The application process begins on 13th June 2025, and the deadline for form submission is 15th July 2025. The recruitment is aimed at filling teaching posts across various disciplines including E&C Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Humanities, Mathematics, and Training & Placement.
Candidates applying for Engineering streams must have a B.E./B.Tech and a Master’s degree in the relevant branch with first class or equivalent in either of the degrees. A Ph.D. is preferred. For Training & Placement, the same qualification is required, and preference will be given to those with at least two years of experience in Human Resource or Personnel Management. For Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks and NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. is required. In the absence of these, Assistant Lecturers with just a Master’s degree may be appointed.
The application fee of Rs. 200 should be paid to the account of Principal, GCET Jammu (A/C No. 1250040100002780, IFSC Code: JAKAOMISHRI). Applications should be submitted offline either in person or through registered/speed post.
