GMC Handwara Recruitment 2026: Senior Residents, Tutors & Demonstrators Posts Announced
Handwara, Feb 15: Government Medical College Handwara has issued Advertisement Notice No. 03-SR (GMCH) of 2026 dated 13-02-2026 inviting applications for the engagement of Senior Residents, Tutors and Demonstrators on Academic Arrangement Basis.
According to the official notification, the appointments will be made under S.O. 364 of 2020 for an initial period of one year, which can be extended up to a maximum of three years based on satisfactory performance and conduct as certified by the concerned Head of the Department.

Eligibility Criteria
For Medical Candidates (Senior Residents):
MD/DNB in the concerned subject from an institution recognized by NMC.
For Non-Medical Candidates (Demonstrators):
MSc (Medical) in the relevant subject with PhD from a UGC-recognized institution.

For Medical Candidates (Tutors):
MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution. These candidates will be considered only if suitable candidates from Senior Resident or Demonstrator categories are not available.
Application Conditions
Candidates must submit applications in the prescribed format. In-service candidates (PSC) are required to fulfill all eligibility conditions as per the relevant rules under the J&K Civil Services Regulations and must produce a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department at the time of application.
Tenure and Selection
The engagement is purely on academic arrangement basis and does not confer any right to regular appointment. The continuation of services will depend on performance evaluation and departmental requirements.
