Holiday on Account of Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 – Supreme Court Circular
It is hereby informed for all concerned that the holiday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed as per the actual date of celebration, based on moon sighting and official announcement by the Government of India.
If Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on March 20, 2026 (Friday) or March 22, 2026 (Sunday) instead of March 21, 2026 (Saturday), the Hon’ble Supreme Court and its Registry will observe the holiday accordingly.
However, it is clarified that the Registry will remain open on March 21, 2026 (Saturday).
