SRINAGAR: Iran’s government has declared a 40-day period of public mourning following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, state-linked media reported on Sunday.
The announcement also included seven days of official public holidays to mark the occasion as the nation enters an extended period of national grief.
